I have been really working on my pagan practices, and I am consistently trying to base everything on a non-dualistic perspective, which means that a lot of things that are taught in books must be HEAVILY reworked. I like the ideas and references, and I really appreciate the background and fundamental theories shared in most of them. There is a lot of apologetics floating through most of them, and that serves it's own purpose. Even so, I find many useful exercises and insights helpful and will be a good part of my developed practice.
After all the weight loss before the class reunion, I am back to being a little heavier since then. It is not as bad as where I started, but I need to recover my weight loss and keep moving lower on the scale. It seems that I will have some time before my next trip, so I am going to focus on a quick reduction, and then turn up the volume when I return through the holidays.
We had initially planned to do some travel around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but that is no longer happening. Now, it looks like the holiday food festival will be significantly less than I was expecting, which makes me glad. I am glad that Gina and John will be getting close to having their home finished, but I think Stephan may try to venture down here for a long weekend sometime through the holidays. I would like to sneak in a little trip, so we are talking with Sam and Nelson in Atlanta to see if we can do a short Washington DC weekend or something.
We are also working on a plan to buy property and get a place to stay together at the end of this lease. We cannot go on like this and ever expect to have a home. Our rent went up by $500, and this is the last straw. We need to refactor all of our major expenses, so that is on the table for the remainder of the year.
