This year has been all project and no personal time. I am not a big proponent of being so busy that I have zero personal time, and I would much prefer it not to be so much longer.

I have to be honest, I have not worked such long hours on such a complicated endeavor in a very long time. There are lots of things to keep on track, and the landscape is continually changing. I took some time to develop different personal hobbies, but I have been so submerged in the day to day of this project that I miss all things I had hoped to do.

I really wanted to journal daily this year, and I did really well until an extended vacation tore up the pattern. As long as I have a fixed schedule I can do really well. Now my schedule is zero for personal things, so my magickal practice and weight loss has both suffered at the hands of exhaustion. I work in what I can, but it is really hard to get anything seriously going.

The ongoing conversations Joel and I have about staying in Florida vs moving back to Chicago are fun, but I know we really need to start making moves one way or another in the next few months. He goes back and forth because of his career impediments with the people down here. I am totally flexible so it really depends on his outlook. That does not fell comfortable to him, and he second guesses himself about how he feels in the process of making up his mind. I can sympathize.
