So far I have been doing pretty well with the tarot tracker, but I have started to skip them every here and there due to time out of the house. Even so, the messages remain clear and relevant. I am still getting messages about old mentors and my magic practice.
On my planner, I am using some plain paper Rocketbook forms to think about how to integrate some new ideas into note taking and calendar archiving. I am going to just settle in to the plastic 3-ring binder I have. I got a smaller one, 1/2", and it is not quite big enough to hold everything I am now including. I also received a nice leather one from Amazon, however it was damaged before it got put into the box. Obvious quality control issues on that. This is the second binder that arrived damaged, so I am just guessing Amazon has it out for anything paper related. I did struggle with a letter sized Arc notebook, and I guess I got off lucky because they just did not really have any good colors. I am sure if they had a nice one, I would have been suckered in. Besides, when I get the hang of my daily organizational process, I think it will be more effective when I have a system that works perfectly for me. I don't feel like I am there yet.
I am also getting ready for the Silhouette Dry Dock in Cadiz. I learned yesterday that the pier is not on the convenient side, so I won't be getting out as much, but it will still be a very social time to build relationships with team members. I asked Eric to send me the reports, but he has not done so, I also got my flight changed to accomodate the Atlantis cruise gang coming into Fort Lauderdale. I cleaned out my desk box, setup my planner, and am getting my clothes and safety gear together. I decided to take the bed of nails water bottle only, the big pad may be to much, but if I have space for it, I may slip it in at the end.
While I was shopping at a Barnes and Noble in Coral Gables, I found a couple of fun books. One is a Taschen art book on Alchemy and Hermetics. It is gorgeous. I also found a book on Rhetoric in a modern context, which is really fun to read. I love the art of argument, but everyone gets so upset when I try new approaches and want to foster additional options instead of just taking the simple way through. I have not yet determined what to do with that, so I am hoping this book can give me some additional tools to quell that kind of sentiment.
I am also getting my gaming laptop together for the trip, since it will be my main means of personal past time when I am in the cabin at night. And I also need to start getting my sleep schedule rearranged for the new Spain timezone. One more trip to storage today and I will be able to manage the cold weather we will be seeing there, and then a quick run through of my toiletries and regular clothes to make sure I am all set. Plus a few creature comforts from the kitchen, bookshelf, and the electronics bag to round out my supplies.
