I had a really nice weekend away at Vitambi with Joel. We basically got up to eat, slept until lunch, and then napped until dinner. Wonderous getaway. It was a really light crowd, which was fine. The fewer creepers the better. Did manage to snap a great pic of an eagle though, so that was very cool.
The week after was the first snap of cold weather. I actually had to dig out jeans, and immediately broke a zipper. Bought a few more to replace it, also because the big size was now a little tight, and I know the others are not going to fit. That was painful. Next week is a fasting week to get this gut back under control.
I checked the toll box to make sure it is still active, and I will send that to Gina for their trip down and back. We never use it, so it is a simple thing for them to stick it on their truck.
This weekend seems to be the last few bites of Thanksgiving food, which I welcome. I got rid of the green stuff, the sweet potato casserole, and the ham is down to just a couple of slices. The flan is gone now too, and the Russian tea is a new favorite with Joel.
I also sent an invoice to AEA for $1800 and got the check almost instantly. They literally saved my ass a couple of years ago when I moved down to Florida and we were so broke.
I managed to get the RasPi working just like I want now. It is still on the local WiFi, but setting it up to be it's own hotspot does not seem like a huge undertaking. It is still on the dining table, but I intend to move it to the computer closet soon.
I also went through some appetizers and such for the time Gina and John are here. Since I have the new tapas set, I was checking all the options for that, and I am pretty excited to make a few things in the spirit of the Spanish cuisine.
The rest of the week I have been working on Skyrim mods. I have divided the HPL and SK sets, trying to get the blackface resolved. I got close. I fixed the eyes, and several other things that were bugged, but some of the faces were just going to be stubborn. Also, some of the mods are overlapping in a way that just really does not work. Now I am encountering some collisions at different mods, and getting those resolved. I do plan to mod using HPL, but there are some fun mods that use SK, and I may try to get those ported over to HPL if possible. I don't want just one compound mod keep a racial mod in place. Unfortunately, it is a big mod. I also discovered that the Special Edition does not have Bethesda workshop support, which blows my mind. I just don't understand how that is happening. I went through to shut off the ones I thought were working, and realized I am getting mods from like three sources. Ugh. Annoying.
Today we are taking a car trunk load of stuff to storage, and going to the little mall nearby. Need a few things for the kitchen and holiday decorations, and I want to pick up some warmer house pants and maybe a long sleeve or two. Joel needs a bigger pot for his chili, so I am glad to accommodate.
