Managed to update my local Drupal instance using Composer. It fudged my theme, but I figured out how to get it added back without having to dig too much. As long as I always install new things with Composer, it should work better next time. I need to do the hosted instance next, and will do so tomorrow.
I have been digging into the Chandra Astronomy software, and trying to piece the segments of image generation together. Nevertheless, it seems to be approachable after a few tutorials and some practice. There are some other software suites for VLA and ALMA, and maybe those will happen next.
I am currently reading a book on Variable Star Observation, and I have a few more in my queue for spectroscopy, Astronomy with an Online Telescope, and a few more Hadoop platform components.
I think one of the first things I want to try is working on some data analysis using the General Catalog of Variable Stars (GCVS). I want to use several tools to work out my preferred pattern. My initial thoughts are to correspond radio variables with different spectral variables. I would like to identify sources that are wide spectrum active. (Broadband stars??)
