I have so many feelings about just how quickly we turned into something our nightmares are made of. It is really quite striking that even after all this time social justice has had to lay a foundation, the basics of privilege and internal blindness to racism are so easily upended and co-opted for blatant and gross displays of the worst in society.
Just writing that paragraph above, I took a moment to put structure in my Library for Social Justice Training From The Grassroots Up. I think it is something I have been stewing over for quite a long time, and now may be a good time to start that work.
I have noticed that I put the Astronomy catalog exercise on hold for the moment, and I think it may be because I can't focus on the programming required to do a simple text search and re-download the missing and corrupted files. I know that it is not necessarily a difficult thing, I just can't focus long enough from all the election crap and anxiety.
I have cracked open the Creation Kit again for work on the Woody's Ranch mod. I am closing in on the final details of the Vanilla mod version. After that is all good, I will put the specialty versions together. I just need to fold in the acquisition of the property to a basic or LAL start.
I also read an opinion about ST, and I am now intrigued with the possibility that I may be able to create better NPCs using HPL instead. I will have to play with that a bit and make some testing examples. ST has bad textures, and really no good custom male content, so maybe HPL would work better. That's a lot of faces to make though...BBLS, UB, etc
Joel has been taken by the baking bug, so he made great apple pie, but he wanted something with less starchy filling, but this one was perfect for me. He is going to get stuff for another one, so I am braced for Apple Pie all week.
I have also been writing my food diary again, which is very helpful for my accountability. I only weigh myself every few days, and I do it at night. It is supposed to be the worst time to weigh yourself, but that is what I would think you need to know. Weighing yourself in the morning, which is the time you weigh the least just seems counter productive if you spend the rest of the day piling stuff back on. Whatever. I have also done a few days where I just put off eating until lunch or later. Those small fasts aren't even noticeable.
