The project for Insight OneVoice at Houston Medical Center is moving again, which is something of a miracle. I hate to reflect on work projects, however there are some points to note here. Firstly, this is perhaps the most boring project I have ever had. It is also the weirdest in structure. Basically, I have learned that staying on top of people that cannot deal with technology like a laptop or a spreadsheet is terrible for me. I now understand why Waveguide gives the hardcopies to the guys to markup, and then they enter all the daily work into a spreadsheet themselves.  I have been constantly frustrated by field techs trying to tell me what they have done, based off of memory and simple narration.

RCCL has also gotten spun up with a MyTV Project on Solstice. That is actually going fairly well, but the schedule is tight and I am having trouble getting the final numbers together. Ordering the new equipment is behind schedule, and trying to get the final TV counts is proving to be a challenge as well. In any case, it is better than the OneVoice project as far as complexity goes. At the moment, the project is going to last a while, and the quarantine in and out could last almost as long. I am hoping the protocols change for vaccinated people in the coming month or two.

With the potential for several weeks of isolation in quarantine, I have gone into hobby mode again, trying to sort out stuff for me to be doing while I am basically just hanging out. Lose weight is one thing for sure, but writing and working on server stuff is always a good option as well.

Winston never ceases to amaze me, since his progress with learning words, actions, and responses grows almost daily. He has 11 words on his soundboard now, and is using a few of them properly and regularly. We have not been modeling them as well lately, and some of his important hexes have been really delayed in arriving. But, now that they are here, it is time to start filling in some blank spaces.

I also went ahead and ordered a shepherds crook for herding training, which will assist Winston to make sense of new things and to allow him to play with things in a more instinctual way. He is playing with the ball better now, but he still relies on his teeth to move it around easily. Joel is working with him on heeling, and I am training him to search on his potty outings. He is getting in lots of training, but it needs to start to come together with both of us in the near future.

I wont be back until mid-December at the best, and I hope we can be in a place to get the travel trailer at that point. I have started a list of features, and the most important to me is the outdoor kitchen module. But, there is still some time to sort through all of that in finer detail.
